  12. 1/2 cup yogurt
  13. 1/2 tomatoes puree
  14. 1 piece ginger grated
  15. 4 tbsp oil
  16. Green onion for garnishing
  17. Fresh mint for garnishing
  18. Eggs boiled for serving
  19. 1 onion slices

Instructions to make to make Khaosey

  1. Take oil and fry onions,ginger and garlic.
  2. Fry for a minute add tomato paste and cook for a few minutes.
  3. Add chicken and salt, red chilli powder, cumin, haldi (stir fry for 5 minutes and cover it) cook till chicken is tender.
  4. 🌷COCONUT SAUCE In a bowl whisk together yogurt,haldi and red chilli powder.
  5. Roast gram flour on low flame.
  6. Mix gram flour with yogurt mixture.
  7. Pour into pan and cook on low medium heat until it thickens.
  8. Now add coconut milk and stir continuously for about 20 minutes.
  9. Add Salt and lemon juice.
  10. 🌷For creamy consistency strain the mixture and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  11. Boil noodles with little oil and salt for minutes in boiling water.
  12. Serve the noodles hot with all the assortments of condiments/toppings/garnishes so everyone can have customized khaosay according to their taste.
  13. 👍🏻Heat oil in small pan fry garlic slices when they turn light brown.Remove them and set aside.
  14. Separate onion layers and fry them in the same oil until it turn golden.
