  2. 250 gm chicken keema
  3. 5 p boiled egg
  4. 1 medium size onion (finely chopped)
  5. 1 tbsp green chillies (finely chopped)
  6. 1 tsp ginger(finely chopped)
  7. 1 tsp garlic (finely chopped)
  8. 1 tbsp crushed fried onion
  9. 1 tsp cumin powder
  10. 1 tsp coriander powder
  11. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  12. 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  13. 1 tbsp roasted gram flour
  14. 1 tbsp oil
  15. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  16. to taste Salt
  17. as needed Oil (for deep fry)
  18. For the Gravy
  19. 2 medium size fried onion(paste)
  20. 1 medium size tomato paste
  21. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  22. 7-8 cashew nuts paste
  23. 2 tbsp beaten yoghurt
  24. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  25. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  26. 1 tsp cumin powder
  27. 1 tsp coriander powder
  28. 1/2 tsp sugar
  29. 4 tbsp oil
  30. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  31. to taste Salt

Instructions to make to make Nargisi Kofta

  1. Mix the chicken keema with finely chopped onion,ginger,garlic, green chilli, crushed fried onion,red chilli powder, kashmiri red chilli powder,salt,oil,cumin powder, coriander powder,roasted gram flour and lemon juice.
  2. Divide the paste into 50gm portions. Place one portion on your palm and make it flat. Place one boiled egg onto the chicken keema and cover the egg completely with the keema
  3. Make all the koftas following the above-mentioned procedure
  4. Heat sufficient amount of oil in a pan and fry the koftas untill it turns golden brown. It may take 5-6minutes to fry each batch of koftas.
  5. Now it's time to make the Gravy. Heat the oil and add ginger garlic paste, tomato paste,red chilli powder, turmeric powder,cumin powder, coriander powder,salt and sugar one by one. Fry the spices for 3-4 minutes adding little water and then add the yoghurt and cashew paste.
  6. Cook for another 2-3minutes and then add the fried onion paste. Cook until oil separates from the spices.
  7. Add water and let it bubble.now add the fried koftas and cook for 5-6minutes in medium flame.
  8. When the Gravy turns into the consistency you need,turn off the flame and add the garam masala powder. You can add some coriander leaves also at this time.
  9. Divide the koftas into halves. Serve with naan/paratha and enjoy the royal flavour with your near and dear ones.
