- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 2 cups hot water
- for tortilla wraps
- 125 g bread flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 5 Tbsp warm water
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- chicken wrap filling
- Shredded boiled chicken
- 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise (very optional)

- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions to make to make Charred Chicken Wraps
- Dissolve bouillon in warm water by stirring. This will give you a chicken broth substitute
- Boil chicken breasts using the bouillon solution until cooked through. You do not have to add salt as boullion cubes already have salt. Set aside to cool as you work on tortilla wraps
- For the tortilla wraps, whisk together the flour and salt then pour in the water and cooking oil. Mix and knead until you have a soft ball. Cover and set aside for 20 - 30 minutes
- Once your chicken has cooled enough to handle, shred it using a fork and knife. To the shredded chicken add cayenne pepper, white pepper, chopped green pepper, onion, mayonnaise and ketchup. Set aside
- Now divide the tortilla dough into four equal pieces, roll each dough as thin as you'd like and dry fry each side until in puffs up a little (20 seconds each side - do not overcook as you need it to remain malleable and soft)
- Fill each wrap immediately with the chicken filling, do not let the wrap completely cool down without filling as it might break when folding. Filling tortillas warm also helps seal on it's own as it cools (that way it can be easily transfered back into a pan to char - which is the fun part about this recipe 😋). - To char your chicken wraps: heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium high heat and press down each wrap in the hot oil on both sides until a dark brown crust forms
- Serve warm and drool 🤤🤤
